PITT COUNTY, NC (WITN) - Deputies are hoping public tips will help them find those responsible for a serious assault last weekend.
Pitt County deputies say last Saturday around 7:30 p.m. a man began having car problems while driving down Airport Road near Perkins Road. He pulled off to the side of the road, and when he got out of his car he was beaten by a group of teenagers.
Deputies say the 48-year-old Pitt County man suffered two broken ribs, three fractures to his face, a brain contusion, and he cannot hear out of his left ear.
The man has since been released from Vidant Medical Center.
Deputies say these are a "dangerous group" that needs to be caught as soon as possible.
