DEPUTIES: Drug suspect hits cruiser and second vehicle during high speed chase

PAMLICO COUNTY, NC (WITN) - A Pamlico County man is being held on a $1 million bond after deputies say he hit a patrol car and another vehicle during a high speed chase on Wednesday.

Antonio Stilley, 39, of Oriental, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer, flee and elude, three counts of sell schedule I controlled substances, three counts of delivery of schedule I controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license revoked.

Pamlico County deputies say they tried to stop Stilley's vehicle on Highway 55 in Reelsboro. During the chase, deputies say the man swerved at one of their cruisers several times before hitting the deputy's vehicle on the passenger side while driving at approximately 70 miles per hour.

They say the man hit a second vehicle on Highway 55 before losing control and crashing into a ditch.

Deputies say over the past several weeks, investigators had made several controlled heroin buys from Stilley using an undercover officer.
