ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Authorities continue to investigate what sparked a fire that heavily damaged a storage unit business over the weekend in Onslow County.
Fire Marshal Brian Kelly says about two-thirds of the units at Storage One Self Storage on Richlands Highway were destroyed by the fire.
Firefighters were called around 8:00 p.m. Friday night, with 14 different agencies on the scene. The last fire unit left nearly 16 hours later.
Kelly says some firefighters had minor injuries, and they were treated on site by emergency personnel.
The Southwest Volunteer Fire Department is investigating a fire at a storage unit in Onslow County.
Onslow County dispatch officials says fire crews have been on scene for nearly sixteen hours, arriving just after 8:00 p.m. Friday when the call came in.
The storage unit is beside the Hinson Arms Apartment complex on the 3300 block of Richlands Highway.
