College students donate to Rose Hill church destroyed by New Year's Day fire

DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The efforts to help those in need culminated at one community college in the east.

Wednesday, the Student Government Association at James Sprunt Community College presented a check to Rose Hill United Method Church to help with rebuilding efforts after a fire destroyed the church on New Year's Day.

The SBI has ruled no foul play was involved in the blaze.

Students raised just over $350 during their Valentine's Day celebration.

Each year the association chooses one service project to give back to the community.
