GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) - A two-car accident shut down the intersection of Evans St. and Arlington Boulevard in Greenville just after 8 a.m. Monday.
Greenville Police tell WITN's Elizabeth Bateson that the male driver of a gray SUV attempted to make a left-hand turn from Evans onto Arlington, colliding with oncoming traffic.
The gray SUV hit a white mini-van.
The female driver of the mini-van was taken to Vidant Medical Center.
There's no word on how seriously the woman is hurt.
The SUV driver is not injured.
Police say both drivers had yellow lights at the time of the crash but that the mini-van had the right-of-way. The SUV driver is charged with a safe moving violation.
The intersection was shut down for about 30 minutes.
