$2 million bond for Pitt County man facing drug trafficking charges

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A suspected heroin dealer is being held in jail under a multi-million dollar bond Tuesday morning.

Winterville police booked Carl Jerome, 41, into the Pitt County Detention Center on Monday under a $2 million bond. He's facing a number of charges related to the possession and sale of heroin.

His arrest warrant indicates that police found Jerome with between four and 14 grams of heroin on him. He's accused of selling the drugs out a Chevy Malibu in Pitt County throughout the month of April.

Jerome is scheduled to have his first court appearance on these charges Tuesday morning.
