RALEIGH, NC (WITN) - State health officials say 10 more people have died because of the flu.
Numbers for last week were released today.
So far this season, 42 people have died. Most of those were 65 years of age or older, while two children have also died.
The state Department of Health and Human Services says the flu now is widespread across the state.
Last flu season there were 219 deaths in the state attributed to the flu.
