My name is Jennifer Nguyen and I am a senior at Columbia Early College High School. This year, I plan to graduate from Beaufort County Community College with my Associates in Arts and from Columbia High School with my high school diploma. Next year, I plan to attend a university to obtain my Bachelors in Science of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.
I have many hobbies such as baking and decorating desserts, drawing, painting, playing guitar, and spending time with my family. I love living in a rural area where everyone knows everyone and wildlife roam freely.
I am an extremely organized person. I like for everything on my work desk to be nice and neat, whether that means the papers are neatly placed or my textbook and laptop are parallel on the table. I also try to write everything down in my planner and give myself ample time to complete assignments before they are due.
This year, I am involved in Green Team, Art Club and Beta Club. Currently, I serve as the President of Green Team and the Secretary of Beta Club. Each year I help organize the annual talent show that Green Team and Art Club host together at our high school. I also participate in a variety of community service activities that allow me to build relationships within my hometown. These experiences are really important to me and have helped me to grow in many ways, like stepping out of my comfort zone.

WHAT IS THE MOST CHALLENGING TASK AS A SENIOR: Deciding on a university and how you’re going to pay for college expenses are the most challenging tasks as a senior.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR UNDERCLASSMEN: The best advice I can give is start planning for college early, get involved in your community, and stay organized.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR: Not having to physically be at school all day is nice and helps me to be more productive.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS: In ten years, I hope to have a full-time job in a career I enjoy.
WHO IS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN YOUR LIFE AND WHY: My parents are the most influential people in my life because they guide me and provide advice for me in so many areas.
I AM MOST UNIQUE BECAUSE: I’m not a typical teenager: I drive slow, like to spend time with my elders, and don’t conform to the social norms around me.
WHAT IS THE ONE QUOTE YOU LIVE BY: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

WHICH YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL WAS YOUR FAVORITE: I don’t like school, but I would have to say that senior year has been my favorite.
IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERTED ISLAND AND COULD ONLY TAKE ONE ITEM WITH YOU, WHAT WOULD IT BE?: If I knew I was going to be stranded, I would bring a boat filled with fuel that could navigate itself to get me off the island and back home so I wouldn’t be stranded in the first place.
