A fun filled event designed to promote awareness about Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain and to raise funds in support of the Sunshine Lady and Beaufort Clubs. Funds raised will be used to provide programming, resources and a safe place to go after school each day and in the summer. Morehead City, NC -- Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is happy to announce the 2018 Annual Trivia Bee on March 23 at the Crystal Coast Civic Center. This fun filled event is designed to promote education and raise funds for Boys & Girls Clubs in Carteret County.
Thirty teams will compete for the ultimate prize, the Trivia Bee All Knowing Trophy. Trivia questions range from history and sports to entertainment and geography. Judges include Nate Belt, WCTI Weekend Anchor, Rob Fortin with Premier Wrestling Federation and Joan Lamson, Trivia Bee Alumni and former Emerald Isle Mayor. Radio host Ben Ball will be emceeing this night of fundraising and fun.
This event comes later in the year compared to years past to accommodate the schedules of local teachers and other participants. Special Events & Marketing Coordinator Taylor Shannon says, “Trivia Bee is a great employee team-building event, fun for families, friends and anyone that loves friendly competition. One of our goals at Boys & Girls Clubs is academic success, and we strive for our members to know the importance of education.”

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. WHO Gabriel Iglesias Born in Chula Vista, California, Gabriel Iglesias is the youngest of six children, raised by a single mother in Long Beach, CA. It was during his childhood that he developed a strong sense of humor to deal with the obstacles he faced. In 1997, he set out to hone his comedic skills, and performed stand-up anywhere he could find an audience; including biker bars and hole-in-the-wall joints.
