Featured Event: Dance Theatre of Harlem

Event Dates and Times

2/24/2018
Greenville, North Carolina
The renowned Dance Theatre of Harlem will perform Saturday, February 24 at 7pm at Wright Auditorium on the campus of East Carolina University.
This performance is presented by the ECU African and African American Studies program and the Old North State Medical Foundation.
Dance Theatre of Harlem plays a key role in the national cultural dialogue by reaching millions and is dedicated to delivering new audiences a powerful message of self-reliance, artistic relevance, and individual responsibility.
Founded in 1969 by Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook, Dance Theatre of Harlem was considered “one of ballet’s most exciting undertakings” (The New York Times, 1971). Shortly after the assassination of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Mitchell was inspired to start a school that would offer children the opportunity to learn about dance and the allied arts.
Please join us for this POWERFUL performance!
$30, $50 and $75 tickets are available for his event. Please contact onsmfoundation@gmail.com for more information.
