While some kids went trick-or-treating this Halloween, others went to the a Willy Wonka themed party sponsored by the Koinonia Christian Center.
The event was held at the Greenville Convention Center from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Many children and their parents attended. The night had a Willy Wonka theme and was free for all children from Pre-K to 8th Grade. Kids got to meet Willy Wonka and were greeted by Oompa Loompas.
There was a costume contets, games, and of course free candy!
Bishop Rosie O'Neal says this is a great event. She says, "We need to move away from violence. We need to move away from the blood, the gore, the murder, any of those things that cause fear. Let's get people in safe environments and let's celebrate the fall season and let's do it in a good way."
Hundreds of volunteers from the church helped to make the event possible.
