President Obama Could Be Speaking At ENC School Commencement

A school in Eastern Carolina is one of the six finalists in a competition. President Obama will be speaking at the winning school's commencement ceremony.

The six high schools still in the competition are:

Wayne Early Middle College High School in Goldsboro, North Carolina

Science Park High School in Newark, New Jersey

The Pittsburgh School For the Creative and Performing Arts in Pennsylvania

Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, Tennessee

Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport, Washington

High Tech High International in Sand Diego

The six finalists will soon be narrowed down to three and President Obama will pick the winner.

Last year he spoke at the commencement for Kalamazoo Central High School in Michigan.

This group of kids are actually doing something, instead of sitting behind their computers talking about a group of people they have never met. Maybe they should be YOUR role models!

Not everyone is going to like a president. I really don't care if you like Obama or not. It is a HUGE honor to have any president speak at your school. Please do not slander the school or anyone in it. This is an amazing opportunity and they have worked their butts off to get this far! Get some respect please.

I don't care if you agree with the winner of the election in 2008 or not...having the President of the United States come speak at your graduation ceremony should be an honor!

No, thanks. A bumper sticker I saw recently sums up my thoughts exactly; "2012- End of an error."

I would not want him coming to my school...send him back to his own country, maybe he can actually "run" his own

I would not let him in my house much less allow him to speak to my kids

That shows you how bad an education they received. Too stupid to know any better.

I cannot believe ECU even wants him here. If it was my graduating class, I would probably stay home if he was the speaker.

East Carolina University isn't a part of this news story whatsoever. It appears that in your haste to insult the president of the United States, you mistook the story's content.

Whoopdie doo. Glad he's making personal appearances and not continuing to ruin our country. This election is already won...the Republicans will take back the White House EASILY.
