A local church offered a special program Sunday to reach out to folks over the holidays who have lost a loved one.
First Baptist Church in Jacksonville offered a surviving the holidays grief support seminar.
At the seminar people get to share their experiences with others who have gone through the grieving process.
Organizer Jo Frazier says, "My own personal experience has shown that you survive grief better in a group with support of others than you do alone. It's not that it's impossible to survive alone, but most people need that help.
This seminar is an extension of the 13-week Grief Share program that is held at the church.
Another program begins in January. If you would like to participate you can contact the church.
