A group in the East has made it their mission to help chemotherapy patients one hat at a time.
Deborah Kinley and the ladies of Cedar Fork Ruritan Club in Beulaville, Duplin County have knitted over 500 hats to donate to chemotherapy patients and new born babies at multiple hospitals.
Their initial goal was to make 200 hats just in time to attend the 2012 National Ruritan Convention held in Raleigh next week, but they surpassed that goal.
All supplies needed to make the hats were donated to the group.
