Disabled veterans and their families are finishing up a weekend of free ski and snowboarding lessons at West Virginia's Snowshoe Mountain resort.
Snowshoe says 28 soldiers and their families accepted invitations to the resort for a ski camp that included free lift tickets and rentals of adaptive equipment.
The resort says the soldiers were from places like Fort Belvoir, Va., Camp Lejeune, N.C., and Fort Meade, Fla. They are veterans of active duty and represented all branches of the military.
The camp is part of the Wounded Warriors Project, which hosts a variety of sports programs around the country for disabled veterans.
