Boy Scout Honored For Saving Lives

A local man received the highest life saving award from the Boy Scouts of America recently.

Alex Glass was presented with the honor at a recent practice court of honor at a November round table in Morehead City.

He received the Honor Medal with Cross Palms after rescuing two girls that had been swept to sea by a rip current at Cape Lookout back in May.

The dramatic rescue involved Glass having to tow both of the girls out of harms way. The two young girls, SuAnna and Karrissa Willis were able to attend the ceremony.
