South Central High School - Firas Quran

Firas Quran

BIOGRAPHY:
Hello, my name is Firas Quran and I am honored to have the privilege of representing the Class of 2013 at South Central High School. I was born in Al-Bireh, Palestine and I moved to Greenville at the age of 2. Being born in a foreign country is something I value highly and is something I think makes me diverse. I believe it is always important to remember where you come from, which is a reason why I will never forget South Central High School and the memories I have made over the past four years.

At South Central, I was the captain of the Varsity Soccer team for four years as well as a member of the Varsity Tennis team. Academically, I represented the junior class as assistant chief junior marshal. I have been involved in numerous school activities such as National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and presiding over the Muslim Student Association and Science and Math Honor Society. I also had the honor of being the Student Body President in a highly active Student Government Association.

I would like to thank my family, friends, and the administration at South Central for giving me the support to achieve anything I put my mind to; without them, none of this could have happened. I believe that anything is possible with optimism, enthusiasm, and persistence, and I hope to one day be able to make an impression on other’s lives through these virtues. Congratulations Class of 2013, and go Falcons.
