I have been blessed with academic and athletic ability, as well as morals and ethics. I enjoyed playing varsity football for 4 years in high school as the placekicker. My sophomore year, I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. This meant I was no longer allowed to play contact sports, which is how I ended up being a kicker. I also have brain damage from a concussion suffered in August 2012. My diagnoses have taught me to appreciate life, to never give up, and to never waste potential.
Throughout high school, I’ve been involved in various extra-curricular activities such as Student Government, Interact Club, National Honor Society, and have maintained a 4.26 G.P.A. I also am an active member in my community and have put in over 100 hours of volunteering throughout high school. I plan on attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where I will major in Accounting.
As president of my senior class, it is an honor to represent First Flight High School. Congratulations to the Class of 2013 for a commitment to excellence. We did it!
