Even today I still enjoy dressing up. In many different aspects of my life, wearing a costume means coming together with others for a common purpose. When I don the red and white vestment to fulfill my acolyte duties, I remember that I am representing the church by carrying the cross in the processional. This summer when I was on a camp work crew, the 16 girls and I tied on our blue aprons and joined together to serve the campers. When a classmate at my school suffered from an illness, students rallied together and we wore the same purple and gold t-shirt in her support.
Throughout my time at Faith Christian School, I have had the opportunity to wear many different outfits, with involvement in my school, church and community. Faith Christian has instilled in me the values of leadership and commitment, and I have strived to maintain these qualities as a daughter, friend, student, athlete and volunteer. As our journeys continue, let us all remember to dress together in hopes that we, the Class of 2013, can love and serve others better.
Congratulations to the Class of 2013!
