In my high school career, I have served in Math Club as Senior Vice President, National Art Honor Society as Secretary, as well as National Honor Society and the Career Technical Education Honor Society. I have also played tennis for three years, was named JV MVP my freshman year, and participated as a manager for Varsity Wrestling. I have gained work experience through my part-time job at a local pottery painting studio and with volunteer projects through Habitat for Humanity and my school.
Eastern Wayne has enriched my understanding of true education through the various programs I have been blessed to experience. Last spring I participated in UNC - Chapel Hill's Project Uplift as well as attended the North Carolina Governor School in Raleigh this past summer. I have also represented my school for various functions over the past year. From these immense gifts, I have gained friends, confidence, and memories that will last a lifetime.
This fall I will be attending North Carolina State University to pursue a degree in Architecture. I want to thank my family, teachers, friends, and mentors for always helping me rise to the occasion. Your support has always meant the world to me, and I can't imagine where I'd be without you!
To the Class of 2013, congratulations!
