WITN - Class of 2013 - Headlines

Andre Kent, Jr.

BIOGRAPHY:
My name is Andre Kent Jr. Most people call me A.J. or Reg. I am a senior this year at a small high school in Ayden, NC called Ayden Grifton High School. There is rarely a time when you see me not smiling or not doing something. In my eyes, if you aren’t doing something to create impact you are wasting time. When I am focused or on the move, anyone that sees me knows I am thinking up a plan or writing a proposal for our principal to look at. I enjoy being in leadership positions and doing community service because they are poignant, and they keep me out of trouble.

I have faced many challenges being a high school student and have many battle scars that are shown by me being a highly respected leader at Ayden-Grifton High School. People here are at times scared of success so they doubt their selves as well as others. I have diligently worked my way to the top of my class. I want to reflect leadership, thus encouraging future leaders to make a difference. I believe and demonstrate that there is a way to face adversity with being respectful and stepping up to the challenge.

I have decided that I would like to be a CEO, health care administrator, or a lawyer. I know the steps it takes to reach my goals; I just need to get to the starting point. I would like to thank everyone who helped me get here and once again, congratulations 2013.
