Lisa Striblin

BIOGRAPHY:
My name is Lisa. I am proud to represent my graduating class of 2012. I was born in Cuba and have lived in and traveled to various places throughout the U.S. I was raised to have an open mind and heart and I have always been encouraged to embrace all people with compassion, love, and equality. I enjoy learning of other people and cultures and I also love bringing joy to people with my voice. I hope to travel the world and to sing.

In high school, I have been a part of Choir, Beta Club, Science Olympiad, and Theatre. This year, I was awarded Valedictorian of my class. I have worked hard to get to where I am today, but I could not do it alone. I thank God who has always been with me and carried me through all circumstances. I also thank my lovely mother and siblings for always encouraging me and believing in me. I thank my teachers for their hard work and dedication to help their students grow in knowledge and in spirit. I believe I can make a difference in the world with the talents I have. No matter what life brings me, I will never let go of my dreams to excel and be the best that I can be in whatever field I work in. I hope that I can be an inspiration to other students my age and show adults that my generation has a lot to offer in this world.
