Caroline Whitaker

BIOGRAPHY:
Hey, my name is Caroline Whitaker and I live in a small town outside of Robersonville called Gold Point. I am a senior at South Creek High School which used to be Roanoke High School until we consolidated with Bear Grass High School. These past four years have been exciting and adventurous. I have participated in the Science club, Future Farmers of America, HOSA, Senior Beta Club, cheerleading, softball, and our new program the D.R.E.A.M. team. I am currently the senior class secretary of our student government. I was also graciously granted the privilege to attend Governor’s School West during the summer of 2011.

Community service has been a major part of my life. I am very involved with my church from helping with the kids to going on mission trips. I participate in the youth group and youth choir. I have been in the Fire Explorer Program at the Hamilton Fire Department for more than three years and when I turn 18 I hope to become a full time volunteer firefighter. I am currently the captain of our school’s Relay for Life team as well an American Red Cross volunteer and donor.

In the fall, I plan to attend East Carolina University where I will begin my journey into becoming a pharmacist. I would like to thank the school and its’ faculty, my friends, my church family, and family for the love and support that got to where I am now. To the class of 2012, Congratulations and GOOD LUCK!
