Lea Taylor

BIOGRAPHY:
My name is Lea Taylor and I attend North Duplin Jr./Sr. High School. I am an avid athlete, playing tennis and basketball, and running cross-country and track for my school. I have also danced and played the piano for over eleven years. I enjoy being a member of the Beta Club, and being president of the Health Careers Club and Science Club. These leadership roles have inspired me to become a better leader in my church and community.

My faith inspires me to continually look for ways to serve others. As a member of the Coastal Carolina Youth Council, I am able to impact the lives of the youth in my presbytery. I have also served as a Youth Enabler at Massanetta Springs Middle School Conferences, which strengthened my leadership abilities and allowed me to share my faith with youth from across the nation. I also volunteer at North Duplin Elementary School.

Always looking for opportunities to grow and learn, I attended Governor’s School West last summer, which was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As I continue my educational journey, I will be attending East Carolina University in the fall as an EC Scholar. I hope to obtain an undergraduate degree in Biology, as well as a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. I am thankful for the many opportunities I have been given, and cannot wait to start a new chapter in my life. Congratulations Class of 2012!
