Juliette Lafargue

BIOGRAPHY:
Hi, I'm Juliette Lafargue, a senior at New Bern High School. The past four years of my life have been dedicated to music, volunteering, and art. I've been a member of All-County, All-District, and All-State bands for many years. I've also been a member of the Eastern Senior Youth Orchestra of Greenville since 8th grade. And I played fife with the Tryon Palace Fife & Drum Corps for several years. Music has been a giant part of my life and I've enjoyed every second of it. Aside from music, I enjoy volunteering during children's programs at the New Bern Craven County Public Library, where my love of reading developed at a young age. I actually just published my own children's book, "Larry the Lion," combining my love of music and art. Attending the North Carolina Governor's School West for English last year was the highlight of my high school career; it was a phenomenal experience - I learned so much! I've been pretty busy the past few years but I wouldn't have become the person I am today without the support of my amazing teachers, friends, and family. A huge 'thank you' to you all! And to the Class of 2012, Congratulations and best of luck! We finally made it!
