Daniel Irvin
I have always enjoyed watching and playing sports and this past year I was able to support both our football and basketball teams as they made it to the state championship games. Being courtside as our basketball team won the state championship would definitely rank high among my best high school memories.
My life has taken many twists and turns. From being born on a farm in the mountains of southwest Virginia to moving to Kinston, to now attending UNC-Chapel Hill, I have had a lot of unique life experiences. I am the 2nd youngest of 10 kids, several of whom were adopted. While being the youngest boy has had plenty of unfortunate aspects, my family will always be a big part of my life.
I would just like to thank all my teachers, family members, and friends that have been with me for these first 18 years of my life or some of it at least. And good luck to everyone in the class of 2012!
