Meagan Briley

BIOGRAPHY:
My name is Meagan Briley and I am a senior at J.H. Rose High School. I have always lived in Greenville with my parents Lee and Kim and my younger brother Holden. Throughout high school, I have focused mainly on academics and service. I have taken Honors and AP classes in different subjects in an effort to broaden my understanding of the more complicated themes and intangible links between each area of study, as well as those between classroom subjects and the outside world. I feel that by pushing myself to learn, I can find the best way to make a positive impact on others. I hope that by continuing to learn, I can find the best way to share with my community an issue that I care deeply about, the acceptance and inclusion of people with special needs.

Next year, I will be attending North Carolina State University where I hope to study Human Biology, as I would like to attend medical school following my undergraduate studies. I want to use these upcoming years to prepare for a career as a physician, so I can fully contribute to bettering the health and lives of those around me. My ultimate goal as a student, citizen, and person is to find a way, no matter how seemingly small, to use my abilities to give back to the state and community that has given me so much.
