BIOGRAPHY:
"A house must be built on solid foundations if it is to last. The same principle applies to man, otherwise he too will sink back into the soft ground and becomes swallowed up by the world of illusion." In applying this quote, Arendell Parrott Academy and my supportive family have been my foundation. From sweaty tennis drills in August to casual lunches with my teachers at the school picnic tables to experimenting with pastels and gold leaf pens in art, I've grown socially, academically, artistically, and physically at Parrott Academy. The commitment and support from the people at my school fostered this growth, and I will cherish the relationships I have formed.

Throughout high school, I've taken advantage of Parrott Academy's different opportunities. I played on the varsity tennis team, was actively involved in the fine arts department, and served as my class' president for four years. The most influential experience, though, has been community service. Influenced by my school's commitment to service, I was motivated to chair two school-wide relief programs and volunteer at a local hospital and therapeutic riding program. The people and opportunities at Parrott Academy along with my family have combined to form a working foundation for my future, and I look forward to carrying these experiences with me next year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Congratulations class of 2012 and good luck for the years to come!
