During high school, I have been active in many extracurricular activities including band, FBLA, volleyball, link crew, National Honor Society, and Science Olympiad. I have qualified to compete at the regional, state, and national competitions in FBLA, and I have medaled at regional and state competitions in Science Olympiad. My numerous activities have taught me how to manage my time and balance school work with other events. They have also given me a sense of accomplishment when my hard work has paid off.

Next fall, I will be attending N.C. State University to major in animal science as a pre-veterinary studies curriculum. With this major, I plan to attend N.C. State's vet school and become a small companion vet with my own clinic or work at a zoo or aquarium specializing in exotic animals. To prepare myself for this future career, I have volunteered at Neuse Veterinary Clinic in New Bern and at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. I plan to continue volunteering this summer and hopefully get an internship at the aquarium when I am in college.

I would like to thank my family, friends, and the faculty at WCHS for helping me to reach my goals in education and in life. I know I can expect your support in the coming years.
