Due to my interest in education, I am the president of the Future Teachers of America. My participation in the Teacher Academy Program as a Teacher Cadet has provided me with hands-on experience in the classroom. For the past four years, I have been a member of my school's Tiebinder Staff and I am the editor of the 2010-2011 yearbook. Leadership is a quality that I value and I serve as vice-president of Math Club, secretary of the Science National Honor Society, a Freshman Focus student leader, and a member of the National Honor Society. I am a member of the senior competition team at Ms. Robin's Academy of Dance and have been dancing since I was three years old. I hold the position of secretary in the Mount Olive Youth Council. Religion has shaped who I am and I am an active member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Olive in the youth group. The support of my family, friends, and community has made me the person that I am today.
