IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERTED ISLAND AND COULD ONLY TAKE ONE ITEM WITH YOU, WHAT WOULD IT BE?: A boat, but if that is not possible I would take my bible.
At South Lenoir, I participate in cross-country, basketball, and track. My favorite of the three is track (it is shorter running distance). Being active in three sports for four years has had its challenges. I had to learn to balance my priorities and time in order to be successful. But by being active in sports, I have made many friends and had the opportunity to learn more about myself. Also, I am the senior class president as well as president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. FCA is one particular club that I am passionate about since we hope to share Jesus with others in a way that is inviting and fun.
In the years to come, I see myself continuing my education to become a cardiologist. From volunteering at Lenoir Memorial, I have found that I enjoy the environment of the hospital. After seeing my heart for the first time on an EKG, I was so mesmerized that I knew I wanted to work with the heart.
Lastly, and most importantly, I am thankful to God and my family for never-ending love and support.
