I believe to give one's time to the progression of his/her community is a crucial step to the advancement of a more harmonious world. It with this mindset that I fulfill my roles as President of the Ronald McDonald House Teen Ambassadors, Sunday School Teacher at the Islamic Center of Greenville, and Girl Scouts Ambassador for Troop 3661.
I have had the opportunity to be involved in several extracurricular activities throughout my time at South Central, including Model U.N., Science Olympiad, and Quiz Bowl. I am also the Secretary of the National Science and Math Honor Society, Vice President of the Parent Teacher Student Association(PTSA), President of the Muslim Student Association, and a delegate on the Greenville Youth Council. I am fortunate for my involvement in these activities because they have provided me with wonderful opportunities to discover my passions.
I will begin college this fall at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and will study International Relations in the hopes of becoming an ambassador and working for the advancement of peace through non-violent and diplomatic means.
To my family, and the teachers, administrators, and community members I have had the honor of meeting during my time at South Central: I truly thank you for guiding, supporting, and believing in my ideas and goals; I could not be where I am today without all of you.
