IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERTED ISLAND AND COULD ONLY TAKE ONE ITEM WITH YOU, WHAT WOULD IT BE?: A sailboat
My dad is in the Marine Corps, so I have had the privilege of moving every few years and getting to see different parts of the world. For example, I spent most of my childhood in Hawaii, as well as California, the mid-west, and several places on the East Coast.
While attending Lejeune High School I have been fortunate to learn from the diverse and unique military community, which has truly helped me broaden my horizons.
I am president of the National Honor Society, the Thespian Society and a senior class student government senator. I am active in the school plays and also ran for the cross-country team, going to states both years. I participated in the LHS school newspaper and mock trial team. One of the highlights of my high school career was being chosen to attend Governor School for social science, which was an incredible experience. I want to thank all the people who make that program possible and hope it will live on despite recent budget cuts.
I will be attending The George Washington University in the fall, majoring in International Relations.
Congratulations to the Class of 2011 and wish you all great success in your future.
