IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERTED ISLAND AND COULD ONLY TAKE ONE ITEM WITH YOU, WHAT WOULD IT BE?: AP Calculus Baron’s Guide (around 900 pages); hollowed out, filled with water-proof matches, government-issued flares, several MREs, standard issue poncho, and concealed space blanket.
Since an early age, I’ve withheld a deep fervor for several activities that still dominate my life; one of those passions is music. Music physically and metaphysically moves me in a way that few other forces can. I began playing drums from an early age and I started to pick up the guitar when I was eleven. Thanks to the support of friends and my parents, music now dominates my free time.
Over the past years I have also developed a deep ardor for learning. It sounds rather outlandish, but I just love to develop my knowledge of the world around me. I’m always attempting to explore the world around me through traveling, reading, creating discussion with those around me. I’m hoping to combine both of my passions when I attend UNC Chapel Hill next school year. As a freshman, I will major in International Studies (with a focus on humanitarianism) and possibly minor (or double major) in General Music Studies. I’m excited and fortunate to be able to study the subjects I love most.
