BIOGRAPHY:
My name is Stephanie Laughton. I am 18 years old and a senior at East Carteret High School in Beaufort, NC. At East Carteret I am an active member in Beta Club, High SAT (ASIA) Club, FCA, and the National Forensic League. I am a straight A, AP student. This year I was the choreographer for the East Carteret production of "Hairspray.” I have been dancing since the time I was three in studio classes so I was very happy for this opportunity to share my passion with other students. Ever since I was little, I have also been very active in church. I have sung in the choir, played hand bells, and gone on mission trips. Although I am not in any choirs now, I actively participate in my youth group as a worship team leader.

Next year I will be attending Duke University with hopes to receive a degree in Biomedical Engineering to lead to a medical research career.

I am thankful for all of my friends and family who have supported me through high school. I would like to thank my church family and dance community for their continued support of my growth in faith and in the arts. Lastly, I would like to thank WITN for this opportunity to showcase the students of my class, the Class of 2011.
