IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERTED ISLAND AND COULD ONLY TAKE ONE ITEM WITH YOU, WHAT WOULD IT BE?: My Dachshund, Rhett Butler
I live here with my mom, my dad, three dogs, and one cat. In the fall, I will be attending North Carolina State University and majoring in Animal Science. I then want to attend their School of Veterinary Medicine. If you haven’t guessed…I love animals! I have been actively involved in 4-H for twelve years. My favorite events are the Tyrrell County Livestock Show and the 4-H Fashion Revue and Talent Show. I have received Grand Champion Swine and sewn my prom dress and modeled it at the Fashion Show. I have played volleyball and softball for four years, and trumpet in the marching band for six years at my high school. Juggling volleyball practice with marching band practice was really stressful, but I loved them both so much I couldn’t give either one up.
I may be eighteen years old, but I think I am only five at heart! I love to play hide-and-seek, hunt Easter eggs, take afternoon naps, and watch Disney Channel. I refuse to give up the good ‘ole days entirely! I leave high school thanking God for allowing me to get this far, and blessing me with all of these wonderful opportunities!
Congrats to the Class of 2011!
