Spicy Scalloped Apples Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Ingredients

¼ cup butter, melted
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 ½ cups cornbread stuffing mix
½ cup pecans
1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
1/3 cup orange (or apple) juice or water
4 large cooking apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced (about 6 cups

Directions

Blend butter, sugar, cinnamon, stuffing mix, and pecans. Set aside. Mix cranberry sauce, juice apples and half of the stuffing mixture. Spoon into an 8” baking dish which has been sprayed with cooking oil spray. Sprinkle remaining stuffing mix over the top. Bake at 350 deg for about 45 minutes or until the apples are tender. Serve as a side dish with ham or roast pork.
