First done on the anniversary of having done 100 shows. That was March 23, 1991. This recipe is from a cookbook published in Knoxville in 1900. Now that has been a long time.
2 cups cornmeal (not cornmeal mix but cornmeal)
1 cup plain flour
2 cups buttermilk
2 TBSP melted butter
1 TBSP sugar
1 tsp each, soda and salt
2 tsp baking powder (originally this was cream of tartar)
