Cornmeal Sawmill Gravy Wednesday, May 23, 2007

Ingredients

1 lb country sausage (hot or mild)
1/4 cup corn meal mix, rounded
4 cups milk
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Fry the sausage, crumbling while frying. Stir in cornmeal mix and cook about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add milk and cook, stirring constantly until mixture boils and thickens. This will take 3 or 4 minutes after the mixture reaches a full boil. Serve over hot biscuits.
