Superbowl Special Ice Cream Pie Monday, January 29, 2007

Ingredients

56 oz your favorite flavor of Mayfield Ice Cream, softened
1 12 oz container Cool Whip

Crust:
24 chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreo’s)

Sauce:
1 12 oz pkg semisweet chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk


Directions

Crush cookies into fine crumbs. Spread crumbs evenly into a 9 X 13 baking dish. Bake at 350 deg about 5 minutes and allow to cool Smooth softened ice cream on crumbs and top with Cool Whip. Freeze. To make sauce, mix chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk in a microwave proof container. Heat about 45 seconds. Stir. Continue to cook at 15 second intervals until chocolate is completely melted. Drizzle over frozen pie and refreeze. All to stand at room temperature about 5 minutes before cutting into squares to serve.
