Sausage and Grits Casserole Tuesday, January 16, 2007

Ingredients

1 lb pork sausage, hot or mild
3 cups grated cheddar cheese
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
3 TBSP butter
3/4 cup uncooked grits
1 small onion, finely chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 deg. Cook the sausage and onion in a skillet until sausage is done. Drain well. Spread sausage evenly in a lightly greased 9x13" dish. Cook grits according to package directions. Add cheese and butter. Stir until cheese and butter are melted. Beat eggs and milk together and stir into grits. Pour over sausage. Bake for 1 hour.
