Ingredients

NANCY ORRICK Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crusts Winner

6 cups baking apples, peeled and thinly sliced
2 TBSP lime juice
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
2 TBSP butter
1 package Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crusts

Topping:

1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 TBSP whipping cream
3/4 cup pecans, chopped

Directions

Toss apples with lime juice and let set about 10 minutes. Combine dry ingredients, add to apples and toss. Place one of the pie crusts in pie plate. Press crust to plate around inside edges and bottom. Fill with apple mixture. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust. Flute edges high and cut steam vents. Cover edges of top crust for the first 25 minutes. Bake at 400 deg for 45-50 minutes or until browned and apples are tender. Melt butter in small saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and cream; bring to a boil stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add pecans. Pour over top crust. Return to oven for 4 minutes or until bubbly.
