Ingredients

Ruby Greene of Sneedville who sent me a whole envelope of recipes

3 to 4 cups fruit of your choice (I like peaches best)
1 stick butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk

Directions

Mix flour, sugar and milk and pour into a 9x9" baking pan. Cut butter into slices and sprinkle over this mixture. Pour 3 to 4 cups of fruit over this and bake at 350 deg until brown and the dough springs back to the touch. This will take 30 to 45 minutes depending on the kind of fruit.

Note: When I do this recipe, I bring the fruit and just a little bit of sugar (maybe 1/4 cup) to a boil before I pour it over the dough mixture. But that is a matter of taste. This is great with peaches, blackberries, blueberries and who knows what else.
