Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Sandwiches Tuesday, June 24, 2008

1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup barbeque sauce (the one you like best)
1 TBSP chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 boneless pork sirloin roast (about 3 lbs), trimmed of all fat
Hamburger buns

In a slow cooker combine the first five ingredients. Add the pork and turn it to coat completely with the sauce. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours. Meat should be very tender. Remove meat and use two forks to shred it. Return meat to the sauce and heat through. Spoon about ½ cup of the meat and sauce onto each hamburger bun. Should make about 10 or 12 sandwiches.
