1 box strawberry supreme cake mix
1 can strawberry frosting
1 pint container fresh strawberries
1 bag chocolate candy melts


Mix cake according to pkg directions. Chop up 1 cup of strawberries and add to cake mix. Prepare your heart shaped muffin tins and add the batter. Bake at 350 deg for 18 to 20 minutes. Let cool completely and frost with strawberry frosting. Melt candy melts in the microwave for about one minute or until fully melted. Dip remaining strawberries in chocolate half way up and place in center of cupcake.

A couple of notes. Patrica buys foil heart shaped muffin tins at Food City. She places a toothpick in the dipped strawberries and uses it to hold the strawberry in place on the cup cake.

Another Patricia tip. Cap 16 strawberries and thread onto 16 skewers. Add a strawberry marshmallow on each skewer. Dip this into melted candy melts and dip in sprinkles. Instant treat.
