Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball Thursday, November 29, 2007

Ingredients

Farmers Cooperative Magazine

1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened (do not use anything but butter)
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
2 TBSP brown sugar
3/4 cup miniature semi sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
sweet crackers (grahams, vanilla wafers, honey butter Ritz)

Directions

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy. Gradually add sugars and beat until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Cover and chill two or three hours. Place cream cheese mixture in a piece of plastic wrap and shape into a ball. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Roll in chopped pecans. Serve with sweet crackers.

If you wish, you may substitute toffee bits for the chocolate chips.
