Traditional Cranberry Sauce Tuesday, November 20, 2007
12 oz pkg fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Wash cranberries, removing any stems or bad berries. Mix water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir in cranberries. Continue to stir until berries have all popped. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is thick. Cool, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
If you want to add a nice orange taste to this, substitute orange juice concentrate for the water and proceed as above.
