Country Ham and Molasses Bread Pudding Wednesday, October 9, 2013

Ingredients

8 cups day old bread, cubed
2 to 3 cups country ham, lightly chopped
½ cup green onions, sliced thin
6 eggs, beaten
4 cups milk
¼ cup molasses

Directions

Toss together the bread, ham and green onions and place in a 9x13 inch pan which has been sprayed lightly with cooking oil. Whisk together the eggs, milk and molasses. Pour evenly over the bread, cover and allow to stand at least an hour, but overnight works well. Bake in a preheated 350 deg oven about 40 minutes or until puffed and brown all over the top. Serve hot or at room temperature.
