Country Baked Beans in the Slow Cooker Monday, October 7, 2013


1 lb Lay’s Sausage
1 medium onion
1 can pork and beans
1 can light red kidney beans
1 can canellini beans
1 can black beans
1 bottle chili sauce (look for it with the ketchup)


Chop the onion. In a skillet, cook the sausage, crumbling it as it cooks, until all color is removed. Stir in the onion and continue to cook until the onion is translucent. Drain any excess grease. Place sausage mixture in a slow cooker and add all beans, undrained. Stir in the full bottle of chili sauce. Stir lightly to mix. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. These are good hot or at room temperature.
