on Jun 16, 2009 at 02:31 PM You should invest a few dollars and set up a web cam
looking over to New Bern from Bridgeton. Much better PR
than looking down a back street. Posted by: WITN on May 29, 2009 at 11:11 AM We checked and there was no fire reported. It may have been a dust cloud from renovations. Posted by: Henry Location: Vanceboro, nc
on May 29, 2009 at 08:59 AM Is that a fire in the upper floors of the Condo building on the right down by the marina? Posted by: Jeff Location: Rocky,MT N.C.

on Jan 9, 2009 at 07:53 AM It sure is a shame that the view down the river had to get spoiled by building those huge bridges. It used to be fun to watch the sailboats out from Union Point. Posted by: Bob in NC Location: New Bern (Carolina Pines)
on Jan 8, 2009 at 04:15 PM THANKS!! Posted by: Fred Location: The Internet
on Jan 8, 2009 at 10:13 AM Hey! Thanks for the new view! Now if y'all can just get them to move those hotels so se can see the river again. ;-) Posted by: Bob in NC Location: New Bern (Carolina Pines)
on Dec 30, 2008 at 11:58 AM Can someone PLEASE turn the camera towards the new bridge? Check my post from April 2, 2008 - same request. We've elected a new President and still this view remains the same - how about some CHAnGE already? Posted by: chuck Location: wilmington
on Dec 10, 2008 at 02:47 PM Sam,If you had to live with this traffic every day,It's insane. Posted by: to savannah Location: bear grass,n.c.

on Dec 4, 2008 at 02:37 PM Although Washington is closer to home than New Bern, I have always liked New Bern better, which is more fun of a city, although Washington is a good place to. Chuck, what in the world is it that you hate about Wilmington so much? Every time I go down to Wilmington for something (not just the beach and Masonboro either), I have had a fun blast and would dream to live down there. It's also a great place to raise a family. on Dec 2, 2008 at 02:18 PM love the website and webcams and love show!!!
Thanks

on Nov 24, 2008 at 10:19 PM Growing up on the river have always love the water! The jet skiing was most awesome! Enjoyed downtown new Bern and it's water front ...yet going inland a bit pool down at the store could be fun...but "Deadwood" a must and oyster bars the bomb...but like anywhere it only as awesome as the people u CHOOSE to share life with... Thanks so for the web cam... But this shot of New Bern doesn't do it justice... Other views of water front r souch better... Posted by: OLD FRIEND Location: BEAR GRASS N.C.
on Nov 24, 2008 at 01:00 PM YES I SEE THE BEAUTY OF SUCH A LOVE, I WILL KEEP IT IN MY HEART FOREVER,YOU ARE RIGHT, LOVE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER.... Posted by: SG Location: New Bern
on Nov 20, 2008 at 09:17 AM I love the water and the energy from which I draw from it...It's true beauty came to man severals years ago when I was fortunate to share it with my soulmate...The Pac a SAC, then elevator ride, the NEW Years EVE, the walks and talks along the river, the 'bear", Kenny Chesney, the rain...The best times of my life have been spent in this town and surrounding areas...I long for that feeling again knowing it is gone forever only to ever be again when we are "dust in the wind"...Sadly to think two so perfect together are apart forever...Sad to think but in life we have to make choices and we have to live with them...but a good mother ALWAYS have to put their children first...as best displayed in Bridges OF Madison COunty...but too best said...In Bridges Of Madison County...This kind of certainity comes but once in a lifetime and the song "I finally Found someone".Yet could anyone else see the beauty of such a love? Love Remembers! Posted by: DAVID LILLEY Location: PANTEGO

on Sep 26, 2008 at 11:17 AM I love this webcam! Like JB of Dublin, this view makes me homesick. My only wish is that there were more cameras in New Bern--truly a beautiful city! Posted by: LC Location: Illinois
on Sep 12, 2008 at 09:52 AM Either the truck broke down or the camera froze up. I think it's the camera. Last update 9/11, 11:32? Posted by: Linda Location: Oriental
on Aug 11, 2008 at 04:03 PM The picture of New Bern is very limiting, its not the same that you show on TV. New Bern Has so much more than one boring still shot all day. Posted by: Henry Location: Vanceboro
on Jul 25, 2008 at 10:04 AM I know some of you regard me a grumpy old man, and sometimes even a "hot-head", but I've got to register my total agreement with the last several comments about the lack of imagination in this camera shot of New Bern!! With the streetm tops of trees, store-fronts, motels, and town-houses, it could be Anywhere, North Carolina. Historic New Bern has SO much more to offer!!! Why not put your best foot forward on camera and show us scenic river shots the way Washington does? Posted by: DALE & TINA Location: Middlesex,NC
on Jul 18, 2008 at 07:57 PM We love your cam view of Washington water front. New Bern Cam should be viewing boats and the water. We visit these location frequently in person and now on the web. Thanks again... Posted by: Bob V Location: New Bern (Carolina Pines)
on Jul 18, 2008 at 08:16 AM The dock you can see at the end of the street is 'B' dock at the Shearton Marina.
I agree, it would be nice if they would pan the camera or move it down so we could see the new bridge being built - would certainly be more interesting. Posted by: JB Location: Georgia
on Jul 16, 2008 at 03:43 PM That is a good view, but it sure would be nice if the cam could get some other New Bern scenery from time to time. Posted by: Greenville on Jul 9, 2008 at 07:52 PM And that is a picture of what?? Posted by: Chuck Location: Wilmington
on Jun 28, 2008 at 09:14 AM I would like to see more cams too.I left New Bern 3 years ago and if I can finf a job there I'll be moving back. Wilmington is terrible. Posted by: Paul Location: Snow Hill
on Jun 18, 2008 at 10:47 AM How about a better shot of the river Posted by: Laura Lynn Location: Deep Run
on May 21, 2008 at 06:28 PM That veiw was so much prettier before all the construction, but it still makes me homesick. Posted by: LC Location: College of Ed. Uof I; Illinois
on May 14, 2008 at 03:22 PM I agree with JB. Wish there were more cams. I am from New Bern and view daily. Posted by: Bob Location: New Bern
on Apr 2, 2008 at 03:58 PM Harry,
It is not a hotel, they've just finishing up building condos in the 250K (1 bedroom) to really expensive. You can tell in this image that I'm looking at now but a number of the slips are empty because of the rate increases and the fact they are trying to sell the slips - good idea? Don't know, right now majority ~75% are sitting empty because of higher rental fee. http://www.skysailnewbern.com http://newberngrandmarina.com Posted by: Harry Location: Rocky Mount
on Jan 27, 2008 at 12:51 PM I,ve enjoyed watching the Hotel being built on the right down near the waterfront. Is it opened yet? What's the name? Posted by: Lucas Location: San Antonio, TX
on Jan 25, 2008 at 05:12 PM Beautiful cam. I hope to see this in person some day. :-) Posted by: JB Location: Dublin, Georgia
on Dec 21, 2007 at 10:20 AM Thanks for displaying the camera. I wish there were more cams online from New Bern (I used to live there - makes me homesick to see the Trent and Neuse River again -sigh)
